It was the last weekend in July, and the Nicholson's annual reunion was here again. Boy, oh Boy! was it a lonnnnnggg...4 days.
The weather was absolutely beautiful. We couldn't have asked for a nicer weekend. We did a little swimming, boating, a lot of eating, repeating, some sking even Grandpa. We didn't know he still had it. It was quite impressive.
Our redneck neighbor John also had a vacation that same weekend... from his couch. He decided to work on his cabin home finally after 3 years and started stapling his wood floor at 10 o'clock at night for a 2 hours. So when we were out playing games or sleeping, at midnight we would hear stapling in the background. We thought about interrupting him to stop and do it another time, but then again, it has been 3 years since he first started working on his house. So we just let him press on. It actually was quite entertaining. Nothin' like seeing somebody's coin slot in the middle of the night!
Anyway, we had a great time playing in the mud and having a camp fire making s'mores, riding bikes and playin' in the band. Oh yes! The Nicholson's started a new band....Skidmark!
